1、 Basic information of the department
Minimally Invasive Intervention Department is a key clinical specialty in Guangdong Province, a key medical discipline in Shenzhen, a standardized training clinical base for resident physicians in Guangdong Province, a master's program at Peking University School of Medicine, Shantou University School of Medicine, a national drug clinical trial major, a vice chairman unit of the Ministry of Science and Technology's Minimally Invasive Treatment Technology Innovation Alliance for Tumors, a vice chairman unit of the China Anti Cancer Association's Palliative Treatment for Tumors, a standing committee unit of the China Anti Cancer Association's Minimally Invasive Treatment for Tumors, and a participating unit in the formulation of national cancer single disease treatment standards.
The main diagnosis and treatment scope of minimally invasive intervention is minimally invasive intervention therapy for various tumors and vascular diseases. The specialized facilities are complete, including oncology and vascular disease clinics, independent inpatient wards, DSA treatment rooms, CT treatment rooms, etc. There are 40 open beds in the ward, including one emergency ward (two beds). Equipped with digital subtraction angiography (DSA), computed tomography (CT), tumor radiofrequency ablation therapy system, tumor microwave ablation therapy system, tumor photodynamic therapy system, and other devices. Establish tumor minimally invasive intervention clinics, liver cancer minimally invasive intervention specialty clinics, and lung cancer minimally invasive intervention specialty clinics.
There are 9 doctors on staff in the department, including 6 with senior professional titles and 3 with doctoral degrees. There are 10 nurses on staff, including 1 with a senior professional title. A total of 15 people participated in national or provincial drug clinical trial training courses and obtained GCP certificates.
2、 Scope of diagnosis and treatment
Malignant tumors diagnosed and treated by the minimally invasive intervention department mainly include digestive system tumors (liver cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, etc.), chest tumors (lung cancer, breast cancer, mediastinal tumors, etc.), urogenital system tumors (kidney cancer, bladder cancer cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, etc.), head and neck tumors (nasopharyngeal cancer, laryngeal cancer, thyroid cancer, etc.), etc; Benign tumors mainly include uterine fibroids, hepatic cavernous hemangioma, and various cysts. The diagnostic and therapeutic techniques mainly include percutaneous biopsy, angiography, infusion port and arterial pump implantation, arterial perfusion and embolization, percutaneous liver puncture biliary drainage, radiofrequency ablation, photodynamic therapy, radioactive particle implantation, bone cement vertebral body shaping, metal stent implantation, minimally invasive treatment for cancer pain, etc.
The vascular diseases treated by minimally invasive intervention include vascular stenosis, occlusion, thrombosis, and bleeding in other parts and organs of the body besides cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Common diseases include subclavian artery stenosis, carotid artery stenosis, renal artery stenosis, limb artery stenosis, etc; Lower extremity deep vein thrombosis; Respiratory, digestive, and urinary tract bleeding, etc. The diagnostic and therapeutic techniques include venous thrombosis aspiration, deep vein thrombosis intravascular thrombolysis, inferior vena cava filter placement, arterial thrombosis intravascular thrombolysis, arterial stenosis balloon dilation, arterial stenosis stent placement, visceral vascular rupture thrombus embolization, portal vein systemic shunt, etc.
Among them, the radiofrequency ablation therapy for lung cancer, photodynamic therapy for esophageal cancer and rectal cancer have reached the leading level in China, and the multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment of liver cancer, lung cancer and digestive tract tumors, mainly based on minimally invasive intervention, has reached the advanced level in China.
